Activeworx v5 Summer Release Brings Advanced Security Information and Stand Alone Log Management Functionality to MSP's, SMB and the Enterprise

BOCA RATON, FL--(April 8, 2008) - CrossTec Corporation announced today the summer release of version 5.0 of its Activeworx family of security information and log management products. New to the offering is the Activeworx Log Center, a full-featured standalone log management product, which rounds out CrossTec’s product offering.
The Activeworx line now includes Activeworx Enterprise, a unified and fully integrated SIEM/log management solution; Activeworx Security Center, with enterprise-grade SIEM capabilities; and Activeworx Log Center, a high speed log storage solution with extensive data access and query capabilities, as well as the best reporting functionality on the market.

New features offered in the Activeworx Log Center include: data separation, used to generate unique data stores; detailed, enhanced reporting; scheduled reporting, including the ability to schedule reports on historical logged data; query histories which users can now perform and recall at a moment’s notice; host group queries, and advanced query processing which processes databases on a set of customized rules and then displays them in various reporting formats. Activeworx Security Center and Activeworx Enterprise have additional upgrades as well, including: desktop notification systems for the generation of alerts; ticketing system technology for advanced ticketing and features throughout the product for the resolution of security incidents; and a real-time event viewer which is used to view events as they are happening and being collected.
The launch of Activeworx 5.0 enables users to collect their information quicker, view it faster, and assimilate it into reporting windows and formats which are fully customizable and user-friendly. This release truly completes the Activeworx family of SIEM and log management solutions and brings the marriage of security and logging technologies further than they have ever gone before.
