CrossTec Secure v1.51 with Advanced Disk Protection and Roll Back and Recovery

CrossTec Secure Offers Desktop Lockdown, and Hard Disk Protection with Rollback and
Recovery Technology in a Single Package.

BOCA RATON, Florida (January 7, 2008) – CrossTec Corporation announced today the latest update to CrossTec Secure™ including integrated hard disk protection and roll back technology. CrossTec Secure simplifies desktop security by protecting the Windows® operating systems and desktops from unwanted or malicious changes. CrossTec Secure prevents users from deleting files and applications, making unauthorized changes to the desktop or operating system, saving or using unauthorized programs, or utilizing USB or CD drives. New to CrossTec Secure is integrated hard disk protection and roll back and recovery technology. When required, the system will restore back to a previous point in time, quickly and transparently. CrossTec Secure protects the operating system and files from accidental or malicious deletion and even provides a means for automatic restoration on re-boot. According to Turner Dean, CrossTec Sales Manager, “CrossTec Secure now offers twice the level of desktop security and protection – desktop lockdown and hard disk protection and recovery. It prevents harm to the operating system with a very user-friendly graphical user interface. Clients have told us that they want to lock-down files and protect PC settings without going through lengthy and complicated procedures.”

CrossTec Secure fully integrates with CrossTec SchoolVue® Classroom Management Software. This true cross functionality increases usability, product stability, and saves time and effort for educators. This full integration between CrossTec Secure, SchoolVue and the rest of the CrossTec product line, allows for efficient and economical management of classroom PCs. For instance, educators can easily engage or disengage Secure’s protection features from a SchoolVue desktop.

CrossTec Secure will be showcased at the Florida Educational Technology Conference, January 21–25, 2008 in Orlando, Florida; the Texas Computer Education Association 2008 Convention and Exposition, February 4–8, 2008 in Austin, Texas; and The League for Innovation in the Community College, Innovations Conference, March 2-5, 2008 in Denver, Colorado.
